http://www.etsy.com/listing/61257169/the-dragonfly-and-daylily-wedding-cake  by WeddingsAndWire on Etsy

Sometimes you are smacked with something amazing.  Something you wish you had thought of first or something you wish you could do.  That is how I feel about this artist's work.  Eric from WeddingsAndWire is so creative and original it makes me envious!  These cake toppers blow my mind.  Each one is created to the clients specifications.  Like off the wall?  Super personalized?  Then this is your guy.  Giant birds, fast motorcycles, and bugs are his specialties.

Truly offbeat ideas

Part of being an offbeat wedding blog is accepting all kinds of ideas and lifestyles that don't fit the mainstream ideas of "normal".  We not only accept these wonderful differences we celebrate them.  Here are a few cool wedding products that do not fit into Barbie and Ken's white wedding.

Rosydesignsonline has super cute prints available in a his/his and hers/hers wedding options.  I think this would be a great gift.  I bet Rosydesignsonline would even create these into wedding invitations.

Theenchantedcupboard creates all kinds of wedding cake toppers but these are my favorite.  I especially like that the couple is multi raced.  Completely custom varieties are also available.
Gothic Tiara- A Stitch In Time of Neo Victorian Splendor
Gothic Tiara http://www.etsy.com/listing/54234798/gothic-tiara-a-stitch-in-time-of-neo

EJPcreations allows Gothic flare to come to life with this Neo Victorian tiara.  Handcrafted out of clock hands this piece would work for the Steampunk bride in the very best way.  Individuality is celebrated at this wonderful Etsy shop.

Classic 50s 4-Tier Tulle Crinoline 22 inches

Swankunderpinnings has amazing style.  1950's retro with today's modern colors.  Any bride wearing this will feel special and unique.  I love the variety of color coordinating crinolines available.  Add a matching hair fascinator or sash from Swankunderpinnings.  Can you imagine how a vintage dress would look with this under it?  WOW!

Weddings gone buggy! For the lovers of the six legged.

You know that person that shoos the flies out the door or picks up a spider with a piece of paper and takes it to the flower bed.  Well, that's me.  I don't typically kill the little fellas.  I don't want them in the house, but I think they have a place in our world too.  For the bug lovers out there, this collection is some fun buggy finds.  Maybe you're an entomologist (big word, so had to look it up) and love to study the big eyed critters.  Or maybe you were that little girl that sat in the garden and loved watching the bees (me again).  Anyhoo, this is a sweet version of what I imagine a bug themed wedding could be.  Enjoy!

Peacock on the way out? Not yet!

http://www.etsy.com/listing/50216581/glitter-peacock-cake-topper-your-choice
This super sparkling glitter and gold encrusted cake topper is from Etsy's own ScatteredStardust.  Don'tcha know she's from Minnesota.  The cool weather is obviously making her work indoors more.   These letters take her more than 10 hours each to complete. Amazing.  A total steal at $50.00.  I know, I know the whole peacock thing is starting to play out a bit...but I love this piece so much I just don't care.  I think that any jewel toned wedding would be complimented.  I can so see taking this home after all of the pomp and circumstance is over and framing it in a shadow box along with a photo of the wedding cake.
